One being the lint screen, seeing that you do clean that we can eliminate that being the problem. 2other issues can be that the lint screen would need to be replaced, seeing that its an old dryer sometimes over the years the lint screens get a build up in the even though you clean it.

Though the thermistor was close to within tolerances I changed it. Still no joy. There's a clicking coming from the rear of the machine when I hit the start button. Could you advise me on the next move I should make...So there are only a few things that will make the lint light go on. One being the lint screen, seeing that you do clean that we can eliminate that being the problem. 2other issues can be that the lint screen would need to be replaced, seeing that its an old dryer sometimes over the years the lint screens get a build up in the even though you clean it..
